If you have flexibility, booking 4 to 6 weeks in advance gives you more date options and planning time; we can coordinate with as little as 3 days’ notice.
Can we have the ashes or urn present during our celebration?
Yes, absolutely. Many families choose to have a memorial urn present during the celebration. We can provide a dedicated memorial table with appropriate decorations to display the urn, photos, and other meaningful items.
Can we bring in our own decorations and personal items?
Yes! We encourage personalization. You’re welcome to bring photos, decorations, memory displays, and any meaningful items. Our team can help with setup, or you can arrive early to arrange items yourself. We also have tables and display areas available.
Do you offer any décor items, or do we need to provide everything?
We provide all tables, chairs, linens, and basic setup. For additional décor, you can bring your own items or work with local vendors. For families who have booked our full coordination services, we also offer access to our “Pay It Forward” décor room, featuring hundreds of free items such as vases, candles, and centerpieces donated by previous event hosts.
Can we have live music or a DJ?
Yes, we welcome live musicians, DJs, or recorded music. We have a professional sound system with wireless microphones included with your venue rental. If you’re bringing in outside musicians or audio-visual needs, just let us know in advance so we can coordinate power and setup locations.
What if we need to serve alcohol?
Through our catering partner DJ’s California Catering, we can provide bar services with beer, wine, and full bar options. We’ll work with you to create a beverage package that suits your celebration. Other food options are available upon request, Monday – Thursday.
Can children attend?
Yes, children are welcome at celebrations of life at Rancho de las Palmas. Our tropical estate setting, with its lagoon, waterfalls, ducks, and gardens, can offer peaceful distractions for young guests. We can also help you arrange for outdoor activity areas if needed.
